Determination is a visual compilation of the people working the streets and underground of Madrid, turning public spaces into their mobile offices. Some may call them “hustlers,” while others see them as “businessmen.” This series captures the jewelry makers, street photographers, manteros (vendors selling counterfeit goods on tarps), metro station performers, musicians hopping from train car to train car, and the oversized street mascots (the Gorilla(s), Stitch, the Bear, and one of the many Luigi's) scattered throughout the city.
